Covered in a layer of surface dirt. Stretcher shadow. Canvas slightly loose on stretcher, the odd minor push mark, especially to the upper right of the sky (with associated tiny tear), lower left edge, upper left, bottom left of centre. Very fine craquelure to two areas of the left edge within the black swirl. Small patch of varnish missing lower left?
