1. shape 1 - both are crazed, one has hairlines.
2. shape 276 has chips to the underside of the rim, crazed, restored crack and hairlines.
3. shape 1300 jug has small nicks to foot rim, crazed, hairlines in handle.
4. jug is crazed.
5. shape 515 bowl has a hairline around the inside base, crazed.
6. miniature vase has a restored rim, crazed and light surface scratches.
7. shape 147? salt pot is crazed.
8. shape 543 mustard pot is crazed.
9. shape 1427 cup has some surface wear. 
10. shape 14?7 saucer is crazed, tiny nick on foot rim. 
11. shape 1458 oil lamp has a nick on the thread, one of the lugs is restored, crazed.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.

Auction: 20th Century Design, 2nd Mar, 2024

A selection of good, early pieces of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson furniture will be coming up in the 20th Century Design Sale on 2nd March, including a circa 1929 Monk's Chair from Ampleforth Abbey, two circa 1930s Monk's Chairs from the Horlicks family, and a circa 1930s Partner's Desk. These will be joined by a strong offering of modern Mouseman. A further good example of Arts and Crafts furniture comes in the form of a very finely made Cotswold School Dressing Mirror. 

Amongst the ceramics in the sale will be the Dr John C. Yule Collection of Linthorpe and Middlesbrough Pottery, a Private Collection of Dennis Chinaworks Pottery, a good example of Pilkington's Royal Lancastrian, and a Private Collection of Studio Pottery including pots by Richard Batterham.
