An Interesting Collection of Second World War British Prisoner of War Ephemera, relating to Second Lieutenant Herbert Dacker R.A.S.C., comprising a War Time Log containing photographs and a scrap/note book which give an insight into camp life, letters to and from his wife and family, a telegram and official letters to his brother stating that he had been taken P.O.W. 20th June 1942 and that he was being held at Camp 75P.M. 3450, Italy. He was later transferred to Oflag 79, which was a German P.O.W. camp for Allied officers in Braunschweig (Brunswick) Germany. He was liberated from there by the Americans on 12th April 1945 and began his journey back to England soon after. The lot also includes his sewing equipment, Prisoner of War News magazines, his identity tag to 1023/VIII F XI COMP OFLAG 79 etc
