In an overall good and original state of preservation. Covered in a layer of dirt and discoloured varnish. There is an effectively superficial surface scratch approx. 1.5cm above the trees on the right hand side, on the diagonal and is approx. 4-5cm in length. Some minor rubbing to edges but especially lower left hand side within a 5-6cm area with small losses no more than a few mm into the image itself. Tiny amount of transferred gilt paint in upper right hand corner. Subtle buckle to upper left hand corner.

We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
