In fully restored condition. Relined, cleaned and revarnished. The restoration process has flattened and slightly abraded the surface. Fairly fine stable craquelure in evidence across the surface. Some light surface dirt and discoloured varnish. Paint thin in places. Consistent infilling to old cracquelure throughout the surface although more concentrated across the foreground and in a band across the child's upper half and head. Several areas of retouching, most notably along right-hand edge, through the foliage at the right-hand, in the distant left-hand cottage and to the left of the younger girls head. Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
