♦Charles I, 2 x Groats comprising: (1) Aberystwyth Mint mm book, obv. large bust with lace collar touching inner beaded circle, plume in field to left, denomination (IIII) to right, rev. garnished oval shield of arms, plume above, S.2891, minor edge nicks o/wise full, well-struck flan with good edge & surfaces GFine to AVF & (2) Exeter Mint, mm rose, 1644 at beginning of legend, normal bust, rev. garnished round shield of arms, S.3088, holed at second 4 of 1644 & a second very small hole above A of CAROLVS o/wise GFine to VF.
