A collection of 18th and 19th century English porcelain including a Chelsea red anchor plate painted with plants, a red anchor oval plate with floral decoration, a red anchor leaf shaped dish, a first period Worcester mug, Caughley tea bowl and saucer, coffee can, tea canister with gilt decoration etc on two trays

Leaf shaped dish - cracked and stapled, handle repaired, painted decoration rubbed, overall wear. Floral leaf and butterfly decorated plate - several glue repairs to the rim, overall crazing and staining, decoration rubbed. Chinese style bowl - pitting to the upper rim, slight wear overall. Tea bowl and saucer - numerous small pitting marks overall, gilding and painted decoration rubbed. Blue and white plate - crazing and staining, hairline crack to the edge. Chelsea oval dish - hairline cracks, numerous scratches and wear, firing fault to the yellow flower head in centre, chip to the rim and decoration rubbed. Blue and white mug - handle repaired, chip to the foot rim, numerous pitting and wear. Blue and white jug - handle repaired, pitting mainly to the spout and some staining. Blue and gilt teabowl and saucer - some pitting and wear, gilt and painted decoration rubbed. Bloor Derby plate - chips, cracks and very stained. Oriental style plate - numerous pitting and painted decoration very rubbed. Blue and gilt jar and cover - numerous pitting overall, some staining, gilt and painted decoration very rubbed. Teacup - hairline cracks, some pitting and rubbing to decoration.

 


We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
