Boy on cart: The canvas has been lined and there is an apparent area of repair and cobweb cracking to the upper right corner. The upper stretcher mark is visible along with some discoloured varnish along the top edge of canvas. UV examination reveals retouching to the repair upper right, the windows and path of cottage, chickens tail feathers and along the right edge of canvas. Boy on donkey The canvas appears to be in original condition with some minor scattered paint cracking. UV examination reveals evidence of retouching to the right of boy, chickens (lower right) and rocks in the stream.
