A Late 19th Century Tortoiseshell Fan, the guards a good weight, the gorge with attractive mottling, mounted with a plain cream leaf, silk to the recto and more of a cotton to the verso. Gold metal loop with brown rounded stone to the rivet. Evidence of cut stitches, the leaf has probably been previously overlaid with lace. Guard length 27.5cm

Probably lacking lace leaf. Some slight staining to the verso.
