A former Rhino keeper at Chester Zoo, Nick Mackman has a deep and personal connection to the animals that she sculpts. In her formative years she focused on dogs and household animals which eventually lead on to wild and endangered animals. Of her work she says "I hope that my pieces will encourage understanding and compassion from the human individual".
Mackman was David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation Wildlife Artist of the Year 2015 and 2016. She has been widely exhibited and her work is held in numerous private collections worldwide.
