A Chippendale Style Mahogany Pull Quarter Striking Bracket Clock with the Carved Mahogany Wall Bracket, signed Peter Clare, Manchr, circa 1770, inverted bell top pediment with carrying handle, side glass panels, pull repeat cord, applied carved mounts, 8-inch arched brass dial with a silvered chapter ring, dial centre with a mock pendulum aperture, and date dial, arch with strike/silent selection, twin fusee movement with an anchor escapement, pull quarter striking on two bells and a further bell for the hours, floral engraved movement backplate signed Peter Clare Manchr, dial and movement circa 1770, later case and wall bracket

20.08.19 Later case with small scratches and small cracks in parts, top left hand side applied mount is loose and needs securing, minor chips in parts, case is dirty in parts, dial is discoloured and with scratches, movement needs cleaning, later back cock and a later pendulum, dial and movement circa 1770, later case and wall bracket, wall bracket with with scratches and small chips. Bracket with minor mouldings missing.
