A Brass Bell 'U.B. 44', mounted in a mahogany frame, the bell 16 cm high, together with a small quantity of correspondence regarding Royal Army Ordnance Corps-related correspondence, mostly pertaining to Central Ordnance Depot Donnington

Footnote: By family repute this bell was taken from a German submarine during the First World War. Even assuming that this bell is a naval example, the UB-44 disappeared without trace in 1916 which renders this account implausible.

Sold for £50
Estimated at £100 - £150
