Taxidermy: A Large Cased Diorama of Wading and Estuary Birds, circa 1900, by John Cooper & Sons, 28 Radnor Street, St Luke's, London, a superb quality diorama of birds including- Shelduck Drake, Oyster Catcher, Dunlin, Redshank and a White-Rumped Sandpiper, the Shelduck and Oyster catcher stood beside a mirrored simulated pool of water, the Dunlin, Redshank and Sandpiper all mounted above in flying pose, all amidst a natural estuary setting of weeds, tall grasses and fauna, set against a pale blue painted sky back board, enclosed within a typical large ebonised bow-fronted three-glass display case with verre eglomise border, 100cm by 27cm by 72.5cm, taxidermist's full paper trade label to interior upper right
