Taxidermy: A Re-creation of a South American White Bellbird or Unicorn Bird (Procnias albus), modern, a high quality re-creation of a full mount adult male White bellbird, perched atop a short cut stump, with wattle raised, amidst a natural setting of grasses and fauna, mounted above painted soil groundwork below, set against a pale blue painted back drop, enclosed within an ebonised period style three-glass display case, 36cm by 19cm by 42cm. The Wattle in nature hangs down limp usually to the right side, Victorian taxidermists were unaware of this and the birds were often mounted with the wattle erect, hence the pseudonym Unicorn bird.
