A Late Victorian Mahogany, Satinwood and Rosewood Crossbanded Writing Desk, stamped and labelled Edwards & Roberts, circa 1900, the superstructure with a brass balustrade gallery, flanking a hinged lid enclosing a divided interior and pen tray, the green leather writing surface above a serpentine shaped front with a central frieze drawer flanked by six graduated drawers, on square tapering legs, brass capped toes and castors, 121cm by 70cm by 98cm

In reasonable condition overall with knocks, chips, marks and scratches commensurate with age. Sections of moulding missing from the back legs. The front left castor has become detached from the leg but still present. There is a split to the back left leg. Left and right right side panels with sections of missing and blistering veneer and have some degree of fading. There is a crude but small repair to the top of right drawers of superstructure. Both brass galleries have become loose.
