A Pair Cased Repeating Verge Pocket Watch, signed Sam Hope, London, circa 1730, gilt fusee movement signed, turned pillars, champleve Roman and Arabic numeral dial, scroll cartouche dial centre signed, beetle and poker hands, gilt metal inner case with pierced scroll sides and decorated with a chased mask and scene, outer case covered with tooled leather and decorated with pique pins and repeater sound holes to the borders, 57mm wide see illustration

. 13.06.18, Outer case with leather surfaces distressed throughout with leather lacking in parts and rubbed, gilded surfaces are rubbed, some pique pins are missing, inner case with gilding rubbed in parts and surface scratches, pendant and bow with gilding rubbed, later bulls eye glass, dial with wax lacking from the numerals, fusee chain has come off the barrel and is loose, balance is not swinging and possibly a broken balance staff, movement is dirty, repeat not working, movement not in going order. Fusee chain looks complete but detached from the fusee. No components appear to be missing.
