Uncle of Theodore Barker and a teacher at Salford Technical College and piano teacher, the ephemera includes his address book dated January 1st 1914, 5 Halton Bank, Eccles Old Road, Pendleton, including the details of three piano tuners, a Royal Technical Institute Salford Note Book, handwritten with Address Book December 20th 1913, and inside a page of dates for music lessons dated 1916, and the name Miss M Trenbath, MNS Form R 2079 certifying him to be 'permanently and totally unfit for Military Service', a letter from Norman Barker 28 November 1915 from a military camp in Winchester, several letters from 1939-44 to his son and friends asking for help and thanking for payment of a bill, a list of his expenditures and incomings, letter to him from a friend dated 1944 in Worcester expecting him to visit, a telegram dated 31 May 1941 to arrange funeral flowers, City of Salford invoices and receipts for rates, letters from his solicitors after his death dated 1945
