The Romanovs In Paris 1896: A Large Fan Dated October 1896 in the scrolling yellow ribbon to the left of the leaf, issued to mark the visit of the Tsar and Tsarina to Paris and the arrival of the Russian Fleet. A central oval shows the Royal couple, the reserves show the Etoile/ L'Arc de Triumphe to the left and to the right the arrival of the fleet. A single paper leaf, mounted on wooden sticks painted cream and silver. The verso is plain other than for a stamp for Duvelleroy, 17 Passage des Panoramas et 35 Boulevard des Capucines Paris.
Guard length 11.75 inches or 30cm

. the paint on the monture is a little scuffed. The leaf has a few small brown marks and slight weakness to the tops of some folds, and one definite pin hole to the top left of the Arch.
