A 19th Century Wooden Cockade Fan, the elegant frame with turned wood handle, the lower section of which can be unscrewed for storage, the brass sliding mechanism facilitating the appearance of a green silk cockade fan edged with a narrow border of black machine lace. Finished with a slim green silk tassel. Length when closed down 13.5 inches or 34cm; A 19th Century Shaped Face Screen or Fixed Fan, the recto of Berlin wool work featuring a shield, divided vertically into two, to the right with three red crosses and to the left, a lion. Another lion's head is atop the inner design. The handle is of turned wood. Overall height 16.5 inches or 42cm; and A Most Unusual Cockade Fan, contained within a large and rather crudely made holder in the shape of a huge medieval key, created in the same fashion as a "cigar fan". Length 11 inches or 28cm (3)

Fan 1 - Very good, silk as new. Fan 2 - Quite grubby and dull/faded. Fan 3 - The material used to create the key form is crumbling in places, so it has not been possible to pull out the cockade for fear of further loss.
