Taxidermy: Indian Leopard Skin Rug (Panthera pardus fusca), circa 1894, India, large adult flatskin rug with head mount, jaw agape, with glass eyes, limbs outstretched, backed onto red canvas material ,with a double black and red serrated border, nose to tail 234cm, across the forelimbs 139cm, across the rear limbs 141cm, mounted upon a period wall hanging wooden frame, two Panthers are mentioned within the game book entries, listed as no. 53 & 54, hand written note in blue ink within game book, this example was taken in 1894 by J. Campbell.

To include a collection of Indian and European Game Trophies from Kilberry Castle, Argyll. Many of the trophies date from the second half of the 19th century, with rare and historical specimens including Asian Water Buffalos, Astor Markhors, Bengal Tigers, Indian Leopards and Himalayan Tahr.
