'Whereas it is notorious that Charles Stuart the now King of England not content with those many Incroachments which his Predecessors had made upon the People in their Rights and Freedoms, hath had a wicked Design totally to Subvert the Ancient and Fundamental Laws and Liberties of this Nation ...'
An interesting report of the proceedings, including witness accounts used against the King. Ink manuscript on paper, with red ruled borders, no date [1649 or later], 71 folio pages, bookplate of Rupert Potter [father of Beatrix Potter], worn panelled calf.

Printed by James Flesher for R. Royston, 1662, folio, lacking frontis, engraved title and imprimatur, first leaf is the title (A3), hence [12], 458, [10], 733, [6] pages, three double page engraved plates (loss to fore-edge of one plate), full calf binding with gilt tooling to spine and board edges. [pages not collated]
