This lot has been imported from outside the United Kingdom under the Temporary Admission scheme. VAT will be charged at 20% on the hammer price and 20% on the buyer's premium.

The coronet mirror is in good cosmetic condition, however it has been heavily re-gilded, with some minor losses to the gesso and some small cracks. The mirror plate is later. Other mirrors are in very good cosmetic condition.

 


We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.

Auction: The Austria Sale: A Private Estate from Vienna, 14th Oct, 2023


An array of art and antiques from a notable Private Estate in Vienna will go under the hammer in The Austria Sale on 14th October. The single owner sale will offer a good mix of paintings, fine furniture, silver, rugs, opulent soft furnishings and contemporary lighting, Baccarat glass and ornate clocks and table centrepieces, with many of the pieces bearing good provenance.

A fee of £25 + VAT per buyer will be added to your invoice to cover the Customs Administration to release the goods.
