A Mahogany Striking Table Clock, signed Josph Catherwood, London, circa 1790, inverted bell top case with carrying handle, pierced side sound frets, bracket feet, 8-inch arch silvered dial signed, date aperture, strike/silent in the dial arch, twin chain fusee movement with a verge escapement and striking on a bell, movement backplate with floral engraved decoration, bob pendulum, movement secured in the case with brackets

Case with small chips in parts and surface scratches, veneers with cracks in parts, later side brass frets, side frets with worn back silks, back door lock is missing, dial looks clean, two metal plaques have been added to both sides of the case to help secure the movement brackets, movement is striking and in going order.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
