A Good Victorian Walnut Carved Quarter Chiming Bracket Clock, signed George Hammond, Manchester, circa 1850, arched pediment with front crest finely carved with vines of fruit, side pull repeat cord, base with a front swag carved mount, 8-inch silvered dial with Roman numerals and signed, finely engraved floral and scroll decorated corners, dial arch with strike/silent selection, triple chain fusee movement with an anchor escapement, quarter chiming with eight hammers striking a nest of eight bells and striking on a gong for the hours, movement secured in by two brackets, 62cm high, with a later wall bracket, 42cm high

Case with minor scratches and minor dents in parts, front door with a minor chip, dial is clean, movement is clean, chiming is working correctly, movement in going order, with pendulum, with later wall bracket.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
