Twenty-eight decks of playing cards produced by Charles Goodall & Son (1820-1922).
The late previous owner had identified the following dates for some of the decks: 1835, 1863 (x2), 1864 (x2), 1875 (x2), 1880 (x2), 1885 (x2), 1897 and 1900. Predominantly 52 card packs, a few 32 card packs, an 1820 set is partially incomplete. Some in original boxes. Includes an 1863 Frizzle Ace deck and an undated ‘Exportation’ deck may be particularly scarce. (28).
