A 1920's Paper Fan in Palmette or Jenny Lind form, the panels a pale salmon, with a white paper...

A 1920's Paper Fan in Palmette or Jenny Lind form, the panels a pale salmon, with a white paper lettered in gold applied, to advertise the "Imperial Restaurant Opposite the Franco-British Exhibition". A pencil addition has been made noting the date to be 1908. The verso is decorated with scrolling in gold. The Franco-British Exhibition was a large public fair held in London between 14 May and 31 October 1908. The location is now called White City as all the buildings were painted white. Attracting 8 million visitors the exhibition celebrated the Entente Cordiale signed in 1904 by the United Kingdom and France. Basic wood monture painted white. Together with A Similar Fan, this time advertising the Criterion Restaurant, (Piccadilly, London) the name painted on the recto in Gold; A Circa 1920's Mechanical Fan or Ventilator, in cream plastic, three blades that whizz when the metal button is depressed. Marked as "Made in England" with a registration number; and A Modern Fan, dated 1989, relating to the "Black and White Ball" (4)
