A Very Interesting Hand Written Boer War Pocket Diary by Major William Marriott, with black leatherette binding, with eighty two pages of entries which begin on October 9th 1899 and end on 3rd March 1900, and describe the various manoeuvres and actions between the British and the Boers, records a lecture from General Buller, a telegram from Lord Roberts congratulating the officers and men for their admirable conduct during the attack as Spion Kop, a complimentary message from the Queen etc, together with Major Marriott's wife's birth certificate, their marriage certificate, his death certificate and family letters.
