British Low Denomination Pre-Decimal Coin Album, an extensive album featuring brass threepences, pennies, halfpennies and farthings; including 2x George II 'cartwheel' twopences 1797, includes mainly Georgian and early Victorian coins and many in better than Fine condition; includes some rare date examples, including 1946 and 1946 brass threepences, 1918 KN penny and 1950 and 1951 pennies; includes the full run of farthings 1875-1956, a full run of brass threepences 1937-1967, halfpennies 1895-1967, and pennies 1860-1967, and numerous earlier examples with missing gaps; light PVC residue on some of the coins, many unaffected, o/wise mixed grades with some EF and UNC examples, viewing recommended

The next Coins, Tokens and Banknotes Sale at Tennants Auctioneers on 9th August will feature a wide-ranging selection of quality specimens. With all areas of numismatic interest represented from ancient to modern, commemorative, proof sets, gold, silver and an interesting selection of banknotes, there is something to appeal to all collectors.
Highlights include a George VI 1937 Gold Proof Set, a rare 20p Error Coin with Royal Mint certification, a 1966 Pattern Crown (Bull 4347, ESC 393Q), a nice selection of early milled British gold and later sovereigns, and the first example to be sold at Tennants of gold featuring the bust of our new king, Charles III in the form of a 2022 4-Coin Gold Proof Set, struck in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.
