Taxidermy: Astor Markhor (Capra falconeri falconeri), circa 1896, Kashmir, Northern India, adult male neck mount looking straight ahead, right horn 67.5cm, left horn 66.5cm, tip to tip 68cm, from the wall 50cm, height 73cm, faintly painted number "43" to side of right horn, reference within the game book entry - "Markhor shot by Jock in Kashmir 1896",

Measured using Rowland Ward method 9.

To include a collection of Indian and European Game Trophies from Kilberry Castle, Argyll. Many of the trophies date from the second half of the 19th century, with rare and historical specimens including Asian Water Buffalos, Astor Markhors, Bengal Tigers, Indian Leopards and Himalayan Tahr.
