John Miers and Studio (18th/19th century): Portrait Silhouette of John Hare, aged 65 years, of Beeston, near Leeds, Yorkshire, born August 14th 1740, died March 20th 1800, married Mary, daughter of Thomas Shipton of Holbeck, wearing period costume with lace collar and stock, facing left, extensively inscribed verso with a further inscription and 1806, also bearing the remains of the silhouettist's original label verso, black ink on paper, oval, 8.5cm by 7cm; and Another of a Lady, facing right, black ink possibly on plaster, oval, 8.5cm by 6.5cm (2)
