A Victorian black enamel, split pearl and diamond mourning brooch, with a central floral motif set with split pearls and two rose cut diamonds, to a black enamel domed oval frame with picked out scroll design, with a glazed locket back containing hair work, measures 4.8cm by 5.4cm

The brooch is in good to fair condition. There is a small hole to the domed centre, possibly once fixing an additional spray. There is some loss to the enamel and some minor wear to the pearls. It fastens with a pin and c-hook and has a safety chain. The hairwork panel is loose in the back. The back is engraved 'In Memory of Mr Geo. Heath, 1st Oct. 1858'. Gross weight 32.8 grams. Condition Report made 3rd March 2017.
