  Lot 88

88

China

Collection/accumulation of over 2,500 mint/unused and used stamps from Empire onwards housed in a binder. Some disorganisation, however we note 3ca red large dragon and 1888 Shanghai 20ca inverted overprint on 40ca brown used both space-fillers with tears, 3ca mauve small dragon used, ½ct surcharge, a few 'Imperial Chinese Post' coiling dragons and dozens of 'Chinese Imperial Post', then extensive Sun Yat-sen and Martyrs, the Provinces overprints etc. with potential for finds as they are often organised by denomination rather than ovpt type, making identification challenging, nevertheless we did discover the rare Sinkiang 3cts (Lot 87) plus Sinkiang 1938 2cts Sun Yat-sen with Shanghai ovpt mint (SG.111), 1938 2½cts Shanghai ovpt mint (SG.134), 1946-47 regular 9th issue Sun Yat-sen set unused (SG.885/895), War against Japan provincial surcharges unchecked, etc. through to Taiwan sets MNH incl. 1970-71 hanging scrolls (SG.775/786) and 1971 'ten prized dogs' (SG.831/840), etc. Please inspect.
