A Second World War AFC Group, awarded to (1532169)161737 Flight Lieutenant Alfred A.Gardiner, comprising Air Force Cross, the reverse dated 1945, in case of issue, a Defence Medal and 1939-45 War Medal, with medal slips in postal box of issue, together with the miniatures, RCAF RAF Personnel Identification Card, two snapshot portrait photographs, a sweetheart brooch, an Athletics enamelled brass lapel badge dated 1932 for Johnston School, and the above recipient's father's First World War Victory Medal named to 20456 PTE.R.B.GARDINER, NORTH'D FUS. in registered envelope of issue; also, a British War Medal to 20747 CPL.T.BRYAN, DURH.L.I., Victory Medal to PS-16870 PTE.A.MOTT, R.FUS., a Royal Artillery embroidered blazer badge, a Festival of Britain 1951 crown - boxed, two sweetheart brooches to RFC and RA, a Merchant Navy lapel badge and a shoulder strap

The sale will offer a good Private Collection of 19th Century Pistols, including fine pair of 19th Century 28 Bore Percussion Saw Handled Duelling/Target Pistols by Edward London and a U.S. Colt Model 1851 Navy Six Shooter. They are joined by interesting medal groups, including a Second World War Group awarded to Sergeant George Nattrass, a survivor of the Battle of Arnhem, which are sold alongside a published account of his experiences in the Battle (READ MORE).
