Sold for £260

Five, with the exception of one lady, are all on rather faded and yellowed paper, with some foxing. There is also some perishing on one of the examples and the black ink on the one that is perished is also rubbed in places, the gent's hair and costume. One of the lady's costume and hat is also rubbed. The black ink on one of the gents is starting to crack in places. All are contained within their original black ebony frames, all with metal gilt inner oval slips, and original hanging devices decorated with acorns and oak leaves, one with a thistle and a rose, the other with a bunch of grapes and vine leaves.
