A New General Atlas of Modern Geography, consisting of a Complete Collection of Maps of the Four Quarters of the Globe ....
James Wyld, no date, large folio atlas, title page printed in black and green, contents page, engraved astronomical diagrams and tables on two sheets, thirty-nine hand-coloured maps as called for (nine single page, thirty double page, a few with folding extensions), three maps dated (1857 and 1858), light dust marking, light tanning in places, attractively coloured, contemporary half calf (worn and stained covers, binding broken, upper board detached, lacking backstrip).

Highlights include a Late Medieval Prayer Book; a Monograph of the Trogonidae, or Family of Trogons, by John Gould, (1875), with forty-seven superb hand-coloured lithographic plates; an outstanding early album of Austrian topographical woodcuts and watercolours; a fascinating album of late 19th century photographs of Brisbane, Queensland and surrounding areas; the first part of the York library of Hugh Murray, author and historian; a collection of vintage playing cards and a large folding map of India.
