A Second World War Group of Five, comprising 1939-1945 Star, Africa Star, Burma Star, War Medal and George VI General Service Medal with Palestine 1945-48 clasp, awarded to CAPT.C.AKERS-JONES.R.A.S.C., bar mounted; together with a further General Service Medal with Palestine clasp, renamed to 2/LT.P.B.AKERS-JONES.E.YORKS. with part of his original box of issue and posthumous award slip

The memorial plaque to P.B. Akers-Jones, located in Beverley Minster, reads, "IN MEMORY OF/ LIEUT PETER BYNG AKERS-JONES/ 1ST BATTALION EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT/ BORN 20TH SEPTEMBER 1916/ ACCIDENTALLY KILLED AT LAHORE 4TH APRIL 1939/ THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY HIS BROTHER OFFICERS"

GSM with marks to edge at 5 0'clock. Small tarnish/polish type mark on Burma Star but otherwise medals in good condition with only minor signs of wear. GSM with PALESTINE bar has been renamed.
