The Bentley Arnage introduced in the spring of 1998 along with its sister the Rolls Royce Silver Seraph were completely new designs for both marques since 1980. Early Arnage models had a BMW 4.4ltr twin turbo V8, but in 1999 The Arnage Red Label was launched (Bentley now owned by VW) with the original single turbo 6.75ltr Rolls Royce V8 the can be traced back to the 1950's. The Red Label received a stiffer body shell and larger wheels and brakes to accommodate the larger heavier engine. For a brief period it was the most powerful and fastest four door saloon on the market.
