A Roman glass jug, circa 2nd-3rd century AD, 9.5cm high, a Roman glass alabastron of similar date; together with three further glass vessels

Provenance: From a north of England museum collection, acquired by client when the museum was closing down post-war. Jug - cracked in several places, reglued, hole the size of a 1p piece under handle, with surface deposits. Alabastron 3.5cm high - surface iridescent and with deposits, wear consistent with age. Flared clear glass cup 10cm high by 8cm diameter - fritting to the upper and foot rims, staining, bubbles and striations to the glass. Tall slender bottle 12.5cm high - surface iridescent and with deposits, wear consistent with age. Small green glass dimple bowl 9cm dia, 4cm high - remains of some gold/bronze colouring to outside, wear consistent with age.
