Wyllie 1 - has some slight foxing to the paper just to the left hand side of the warship and also in the sky to the right hand side. It is not laid down as the paper is quite wavy and uneven. It is a reasonably good impression with a fairly strong plate mark. The old cream mount around the print has foxing and discolouration, particularly evident around the bevel which is causing yellow discolouration to the margin of the print. It is contained within a plain outer cream frame and is under glass. The underside of the glass does have some dirt in places. Wyllie 2 - contained within its original outer cream mount, which is foxed in places, and the bevel of this mount is also badly stained, thus causing staining to the margin of the print. There is some slight foxing within the image but the print does appear to be good impression. It is contained within its original plain cream frame. The underside of the glass is somewhat dirty. Walcott - does have yellow discolouration around the outer edges of the print and in the margin. It is uneven and has not been laid down. It is a good strike and has left a deep impression on the paper. It is contained within its original outer cream mount which is particularly large and wide and contained within its original plain outer black frame and under the original glass, with the original backing paper and old inscription verso. Langmaid - this has extensive foxing both to the surface of the print and the margins, with a great deal of brown stains to the underside of the glass. The print has not been laid down and is extremely wavy. Contained within its original outer plain black frame. 29/03/09
