Old re-line cleaned and re-varnished, general re-touching to the edges and background with a full width horizontal band of re-touching towards lower edge, approximately 6cm from lower edge. Surface is rather flattened and the paint is thin in places from the restoration process some of the re-touching to edges and background is discernible with the eye, there is little other restoration evident under a uv lamp, but it is possible that there may be other areas which have been treated. Some opaque coloured splashes relatively sporadically situated across the surface, horizontal abrasion approximately 1-2cm from lower edge approximately 20cm in length, odd relatively minor knock/scuff, fine stable craquelure throughout with slightly more pronounced area at his left hand shoulder, light surface dirt and discoloured varnish. Otherwise sound condition.

We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
