B.T.Batsford, Ltd, London, 1934, together with "The Practise of Linocutting and Printing in Colours and Black and White" by Claude Flight, J Brice Smith Ltd, "Linocuts, a Handbook of Linoleum-cut Colour Printing, Claude Flight, John Lane The Bodley Head Limited, with two letters from the aforementioned publishers addressed to Claude Flight at Donhead St. Andrew, Wilts referring to the revised edition of said publication dated 30th October 1946 and 6th November 1946, a small collection of linocuts printed in colours by Claude Flight of various Christmas and greetings cards to include: Claude Flight RBA (1881-1955)
"Here's to the Old Year, Here's to the New! A very good health To all of you"
Linocut printed in colours, together with three further Christmas linocuts by the artist "PEACE BE TO THEE, AND peace be to thine house and peace be unto all that thou hast", "Fair fa' ye, honest sonsy face, Great chieftain of the pudding race!", "I sent so many greetings That Father Christmas Stuck...", a further linocut by the artist and two Christmas cards by Edith Lawrence "Swift Fly My Greetings to You" and "Christmas Comes Again", 14.5cm by 9cm, 9.5cm by 7cm, 14cm by 19cm and 20cm by 14cm respectively (a collection)

Lino cutting and printing : Large stain to the front sheet which passes onto inside sheets. Bleaching to cover. Moderate - significant time staining and foxing throughout. Hard back lino cutting and printing - discolouration to front cover in general. Inscribed KM Lawrence in inside front. Some staining/ foxing throughout. Generally reasonable. For the unframed greetings cards etc- Some light time staining to all works. The linocut is attached at all corners with brown tape to the backing paper with associated creases to each corner. Some light time staining/oxidisation to the paper.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
