Original canvas. Cleaned and re varnished. Retains good surface brushwork and impasto. Some light surface dirt and discoloured varnish. There is a relatively large u shaped patch of retouching and over painting approximate centre of the sky which is approximately 12cm in length with two upright ends at approximately 3-4cm at the longest point. Further small patch of retouching within the sky to the left of this and a cluster of retouching in the upper right hand corner. Patch of retouching in lower right hand corner. The largest area of retouching and over painting is slightly discoloured and mildly perceptible with the eye. Otherwise in good order.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
