An Impressive Louis XV Style Carved Giltwood Seven Piece Salon Suite, late 19th century, upholstered in Aubusson needlework fabric with classical figures and a hunting scene, comprising a two-seater sofa with moulded frame, padded back support, arms and seat above a serpentine shaped seat rail centred by a shell, on cabriole legs with scrolling toes, 130cm wide, and a set of six armchairs, upholstered to match and each decorated with different scenes, with conforming carved top rails, moulded frames and hand grips, 74cm by 58cm by 108cm See illustration

Some typical chipping and minor losses throughout. Some significant loss to gilding, particularly on arms and crestings. Splitting to joints with associated minor loss to edges of joints. More significant loss to joint and legs. Upholstery in poor condition. One chair with new seat blocks.
