An Indian Carved Elephant Ivory Ring of Six Elephants, circa 1910, the largest elephant with its trunk raised in alarm, each connected to the next elephant by its trunk/or tail, 14cm diameter, 6.5cm high; and An Indian Carved Elephant and Howdah Group, perhaps Kashmir, 19th century, the caparisoned beast with rider up, the two-seat howdah with dignitary and attendant, with painted detail, on integral plinth, 11.5cm high (2)

Ring of elephants - the four largest elephants all have slight drying cracks on their backs. Otherwise the group is reasonable throughout. Elephant and howdah group - general quite serious drying cracks, old restorations and some repainting. Part of the fan that the front figure holds in his right hand is damage (piece not retained). Elephant's tusks possibly replacements. Some of the repainting is crude. Sold a/f. 290114
