The Jaguar XK8 (project code X100) is a 2-door grand tourer that was launched by Jaguar Cars in 1996, and was the first generation of a new XK series. Designed by Geoffrey Lawson who was behind the stunning Aston Martin DB7, Lawson beautifully captured the spirit of the classic jaguar creating what many critics say is the most beautiful creation since the XKE of 1961. This late production model is equipped with the larger and very powerful 4.2 litre V8 engine offering a respectable 300 HP and limited to 155 mph. Now becoming a rare site on the roads, nice examples of the XK8 and R models are being snapped up by collectors and are tipped for considerable price rises in the future.
