An Interesting Prisoner of War Archive, Pertaining to Stalag XVIII-A, accumulated by 7517789 Pte. James Francis Mulhern, R.A.M.C., comprising approx. 200 real photograph postcards and snapshots depicting camp life, many bearing "official" camp approval stamps to the reverse, subjects including theatrical and musical productions; sporting events; other assorted camp entertainments; sports team group studies; funerals; cemetery graves, and general scenes of camp life, together with a small quantity of correspondence and a group of three Second World War medals
Footnote: Stalag XVIII was located in Wolfsberg, in the Southern Austrian state of Carinthia. Established in 1939 it was operational until the cessation of hostilities and at its peak, in 1944, had responsibility for almost 40,000 prisoners with a diverse range of nationalities form New Zealand to Russia.
