Taxidermy: Indian Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris), circa 25/11/1942, by Van Ingen & Van Ingen, Mysore, India, No 655, male skin rug with large head mount, glass eyes, mounted upon later black felt backing material with serrated edge, 298cm nose to tail, 212cm across the fore-limbs, 655 numbered to underside of headboard, belonging to Mr. M.P.M. Halal, Bombay Natural History Society, 6 Apollo Street, Bombay, sold with a photo copy of the original entry into Van Ingen & Van Ingen order books

both ear tips have suffered some minor damage, some losses to the filler around the gum line, paint loss around mouth areas and nose conducive with age, no whiskers remain, some minor fur loss around jaw area, eyes good, all teeth good, overall fur depth good, colour good, stitched seems visible to outer edges, various old stitched scars around skin, original canvas backing material missing, tail has been repaired, CLAWS- front right 5, front left 4, rear left 4, rear right 4, Rob 24/05/18
