Assorted late Victorian and Edwardian umbrellas and parasols, including a carved ivory parasol, the

Assorted late Victorian and Edwardian umbrellas and parasols, including a carved ivory parasol, the folding handle carved with a cartouche of sheaths of corn, purple silk mount, cream silk lining and later black lace mount; Edwardian cream cotton umbrella with purple spotty trim; Fox black silk umbrella with white metal figural handle (indistinctly marked), another with ebonised handle and figured black silk mount, and another similar with silver trim to the mount, and a brown striped umbrella (some a.f.) (6)

. Ivory parasol - some staining to the ivory and several very fine hair line cracks, mounts ripped. Spotty umbrella - one spoke broken, staining to cream mount and a small tear, slight wear to the handle. White metal handled Fox umbrella, holes to the top of the black mount, scuffing and small dents to the handle. Fox black umbrella - slight wear to mount and scuffing to handle. Black Fox umbrella with silver trim - mount is split in several places, and slight scuffing to the handle. Brown umbrella - small hole to the mount, fading and wear to the handle

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
