.The panel has been cradled with three vertical splits running the length of the panel each with evidence of retouching as seen under UV examination. There is a patch of craquelure to the laced section of the right shoulder. Uv examination reveals older retouching to the right of the nose, right brim of the hat as well as the sleeves, hands and lace ruff. There is an area of more recent retouching to right of the eye which looks like a repaired scratch. Other minor, older scattered areas of retouching to the background, particularly lower right corner.
