A large quantity of fans, dating from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, some...

A large quantity of fans, dating from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, some with bone montures, to include a large fan with cream gauze mounted on bone, the leaf bordered and inserted with cream machine lace, the design reminiscent of Belgian lace, and painted with extravagant white lilies and other pink flowers; a very large carved and pierced bone fan mounted with cream silk, painted with bold red poppies, blue cornflowers and white daisies (found on French fans in the wartime period), the gorge well carved with a rose and foliage; and sixteen further fans mainly mounted on bone (18)
